DM Retreat 2026
In collaboration with Nerds for Solidarity, we introduce you to the ultimate Dungeons & Dragons DM Retreat! 26th to 28th June, Immerse yourself in a weekend of developing epic storytelling, creativity, and hygge - but without the players derailing any of your plans! We will be joined by an artist and philosopher who will challenge what you know about being DM and making a campaign.

Experienced DMs can exchange mechanisms, NPCs, and workshop campaigns, while newer DMs build strong foundations through guided coaching.
Who's behind this?
We have a team of extremely experienced DM's who want to empower others for peer to peer learning. This is Noart Farms first attempt at something like this, but Nerds for Solidarity bring lots of experience with residential D&D events.
All Systems welcome
All systems are welcome—5e, Pathfinder, PbtA, Daggerheart, or your own homebrew—bringing diverse styles to the table.
Inspiring input
We will be joined by artist Francis Patrick Brady, a Canadian artist based in Sweden who works with world building and storytelling. We will also be joined by a philosopher.
Workshops
Workshops range from campaign‑building labs and NPC design sessions to creative storytelling, artistic worldbuilding, and philosophical deep‑dives into what makes a great DM.
Whether you're a seasoned DM or just starting out, this retreat is your chance to sharpen your skills, craft unforgettable adventures, and bounce ideas around with like-minded masters. There will be space for experienced DMs to exchange ideas, mechanisms and NPC ideas together as well as workshoping campaigns together. Emerging DMs at beginner or intermediate level can join coaching workshops and reinforce foundation skills.
The workshops will be created with a variety methods, sometimes with 2 workshops at the same time, with one stream following the theme of "how to DM 101" for beginners. However you can pick and choose which workshop to follow, so maybe session 0 is something that interests you, even if you are not a beginner.
What would the DMs get out of this?
The DMs will enjoy peer to peer inspiration over a weekend with an injection of external input. More experienced DMs will have space to bounce ideas around and less experienced DMs will be supported in their creative efforts. Everyone will be invited to step back and take an existential look at the role of oral story telling, the philosophical dimension to the adventures and dilemmas they place their players in and how to incorporate art further.
The small details
The DM retreat will be held at Noart Farm, Stampemøllevej 4, Brørup, 8660 Skanderborg (a shuffle service is available from Skanderborg station). Participation fee is 500kr which includes meals, workshops and glamping accommodation. Noart Farm and Nerds for Solidarity embrace limitless diversity in infinite combinations and will not accept discrimination in any form. We reserve the right to ask participants to leave without offering a refund if their behaviour is not consistant with the common good. In general, dont be a dick and you will be fine.
